Outdoor fitness activities much needed

It's a catch 22 trying to keep fit in Dubai. Gyms where sweaty guys go may mix their regime with girls, and this makes girls not on the horizon long for fresher pastures.

We can easily do with clearly marked-out cycle lanes like German cities do, where a pedestrian trying to cross a cycle lane with an oncoming cyclist gets the "beep beep" when you take a step back, and heaven forbid if one doesn't!

No wonder that some huge malls have a "morning" panned out for ladies who like to walk in the morning. Well, walking in the mall could be fun at times when excited men don't happen to cross everyone's paths 24-7, and we had a clear way to do our thing, and exercise to our hearts' content.

Anybody who actually goes walking in the mall in the mornings as part of this scheme, please comment - it would show what a lack of other sporting facilities are available round this corner.

Indoor domes with A/C is not healthy. Put up good walking paths so all walks of life can indulge in healthy lives outdoors; breathe fresh air: thereby increasing productivity, and contribute to the economy (a topic not hitting the news of late, to put it mildly).

Put up safe cycling and walking paths for people who love the outdoors, and it may add to extra-curricular activities that benefit the whole community, by and large.
