Beyond the Desert Horizon

Desert, oh dearest desert
Did you know how I missed you over the years
How I slept every night, my pillow covered in tears
Longing for the day you would take away my fears

Desert, not a day goes by without remembering those years
I cherish the beautiful vision you bring to my eyes
The colours of your landscape take me to paradise
Your delightful dunes are like magic, magic to my soul

Dear Desert, how I listen to those desert tunes
So simple, so divine, I reminisce
How the simplicity of your music rings love in my ears
How I wish I were with you now, my desert

Soft sand dancing under my feet as I walk your dune
The gentle breeze brushing my ears
I hear your soft whisper amongst the loud lights in the distance
Desert, you bring me joy in the darkness: my hope, my destiny

Stay with me forever and always, you are my life, my soul

1)Congrats, this is the first comment of yours that I understood without having to re-read it
2)For goodness sake, open a blog so I can time some evening giggles into my agenda
3)Hilarious comment, you are a whizz with words!

Nice! Makes me wonder more and more about your mysterious origins!

*travelling stranger How is your trip to the Holy Land going? I wish I were you, really. Hope you are acheiving all you want. Hope the right ears are listening ;) As for your comment, my origins are buried deep in the desert. Dig deep and you'll find I'm quite similar to you, only the opposite sex, and not quite as outspokenly spiritual...Good luck stranger, my prayers are with you

*Hot Lemon & Honey Thanks for passing, Sugar, I have no idea how you manage to maintain a beautiful flat, interesting persona and web presence at th same time! Glad you like it. You seem a wonderful person. Glad you like the poem. Take care in whatever you're doing, I have a feeling you're busy right now. All the best!

*paraglider Hmm indeed...I'm not as good a writer as you to take your advice, but I'll try...

Take Helga to the power of 1000 to a desert dune that you both love, and she will melt @ your knees...send me a postcard...

Yeah I believe we have much in common. I shall continue digging as you continue blogging.
