Death and Love

Death comes and life goes
Like the snow and the rain
When you went
You caused my life such pain

We didn't know eachother
But when our paths crossed
And you said those words
My life changed forever

I recall the moment we met
"You are so
lovely"
I responded in return, "YOU are SO lovely"
She smiled, we smiled, we laughed

I had recounted this story, day after day, of her lovely words to me, to a lot of people.

Coincindentally, the day I was telling this story to a friend, they informed me later that night that she had died - I didn't believe them.

After much research, the news of her death was confirmed
here @ Gulf News.

Now I heard she's gone, I realise
good souls always understand eachother's language.

May God rest your soul in peace. The few moments I knew you, you were bliss, and I will never forget the special connection we had, nor your lesson.

Goodbye to a lovely lady, I will always cherish you.

That's life i*... people come into our lives for period of time, often with a purpose. Once the purpose has been met - they move on. Hope you find strength from her words. May her soul rest in peace.

Dear imaginate,
Thank you ever so much for this poem. My name is Loubna, I am one of Rajaa's cousin and as you can imagine we are completely devastated by her loss. Four weeks before her passing I went to visit her at hospital where she had just been rushed for treatment. I found her brave in the face of adversity and kind as always. I decided there that we would create a website to let people send her their goodwished. We read her the messages of hope everyday. She loved it. It gave her confort. She was genuinely in love with her fans. I miss her dreadfully. The friday before she passed away, she disctated to me a message of thanks to all those who wrote to her. "Thank you for your kind message of support. They give me tremendous strength and I hope never to disappoint you. Thank you". So, as she would have wanted me to do, deat i*maginate, Thank you and God bless you for remembering her so fondly. Loubna (her website is www.raja-belmalih.com )
